  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, quotations, and service agreements that align with customer requirements.

Market & Strategy

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies for maximum impact.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer preferences to increase market share and enhance satisfaction.
  • Represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term, trust-based relationships with clients, agents, and industry stakeholders.
  • Visit existing and prospective customers regularly to strengthen connections and uncover new opportunities.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams, principals, and international partners to ensure seamless service delivery.

Stakeholder & Agency Collaboration

  • Engage with domestic and international partners to support the efficient delivery of air freight solutions.
  • Lead agency arrangements and stakeholder engagement initiatives to strengthen operational and commercial outcomes.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Manage and report on sales performance, revenue, and margin targets.
  • Contribute to budget planning, projections, and forecasting.
  • Provide regular insights on customer trends, market developments, and operational challenges.

This is a full-time permanent role based in Auckland. In return we offer a challenging and stimulating environment. You will have the right to live and work in New Zealand at the time of applying. The successful candidate may be subject to undergo a Police Check and/or Pre-Employment Drug Test.

Qualifications

About You:

We’re looking for a commercially sharp, self-motivated sales professional with the drive to build business and the skill to deliver exceptional results.  You will have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding and/or air freight (preferably both), with a broader understanding of supply chain operations.
  • Proven track record in new business development and account management.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to create value-added solutions for clients.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with the confidence to influence and negotiate at all levels.
  • The ability to work autonomously while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Pacific Island trade lanes is advantageous (but not essential).
  • A full clean NZ Drivers Licence
