- pladis is the top tier Biscuit manufacturer with three nationally loved brands; McVities, Jacobs and Go Ahead; and annual revenue of £667m. We are the 9th biggest FMCG company and 3rd fastest growing (source Kantar) in the UK
- The hard-working UK Sales Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing. The Team coordinates the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters.
- The Business Development Manager will have full ownership of directly managing a portfolio of customers within the Convenience Channel
What will be your key deliverables?
- Management of Customer Relationships - you will be the main point of contact for buyers across a number of managed convenience customers. This will provide excellent experience across a wide number of Buying styles.
- Financial Rigor - You will have full P&L responsibility for your accounts. We need you to be on top of your game liaising with Supply Chain, Care, CDS and Customers to forecast and hit your call.
- Team Working – The role provides great opportunity to work cross functionally. We will need you to work with key partnering functions, including Finance, NRM, Supply Chain, Category, Shopper and Marketing to deliver the business KPI’s.
- Business Building – We need you to develop and deliver annual strategic account plans for your customers to deliver customer, category and brand objectives. You will need to work with your customers to build and implement promotional plans and be able to respond proactively to a changing environment

- Extensive experience in a customer facing role
- Working autonomously and as part of a team towards business set targets
- Strong problem solving and solution orientated
- Commercial ability
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint & presentation skills
- A colleague who has a collaborative nature, an inquisitive mind and shows passion and drive.
DESIRABLE
- FMCG experience
- Good understanding of joint business planning
- Category Management experience
