Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Business Development Head (North) to spearhead growth for our Metal Mandi vertical. The role requires strong expertise in core business development, preferably within the metals, commodities, or recycling sector, with a focus on driving revenue, expanding customer base, and ensuring seamless execution of regional business strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth & Strategy
- Drive regional sales and revenue targets for Metal Mandi.
- Identify and onboard new business opportunities, clients, and partners in the metals trading and recycling ecosystem.
- Develop and execute regional GTM (Go-to-Market) strategies.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the regional business development team.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute campaigns for lead generation and customer acquisition.
- Work closely with customer support and telesales teams to ensure high conversion rates and client satisfaction.
Market & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, buyers, and channel partners.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
- Represent the company in regional networking forums and industry events.
- Responsible for gathering user feedback actively from the ground and ensure effective loop closure with product team thereby enabling continuous product development
Operational Excellence
- Ensure smooth execution of customer onboarding, order processing, and service delivery.
- Monitor KPIs and provide regular performance updates to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, sustainability, and ethical trading practices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate from a reputed college; MBA/Post-Graduation preferred (Tier1/Tier2 MBA colleges acceptable).
- 2–5 years of experience in core business development, preferably in metals, commodities, or recycling sector.
- Strong track record in meeting/exceeding revenue targets.
- Proven experience in managing regional teams and cross-functional collaboration.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute hands-on.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
