Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth by developing strategic relationships with partners, customers, and vendors within the IT distribution ecosystem. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, increasing revenue, and promoting the organization's technology portfolio across assigned territories and customer segments.

The incumbent will work closely with channel partners, system integrators, resellers, enterprise customers, and internal teams to achieve sales objectives while strengthening the company's market position.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Expansion

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across assigned geographies, industries, and customer segments.

  • Drive revenue growth through acquisition of new customers, partners, and strategic accounts.

  • Develop and execute business plans to achieve sales, profitability, and market share objectives.

  • Establish a strong market presence by identifying emerging technology and business opportunities.

Channel & Partner Management

  • Recruit, develop, and manage channel partners, system integrators, VARs, MSPs, and reseller networks.

  • Build strong relationships with existing partners to increase business contribution and engagement.

  • Enable partners through training, joint business planning, and solution positioning.

  • Drive partner-led demand generation and pipeline development activities.

Customer Engagement & Account Development

  • Build and maintain relationships with key customer stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Understand customer business challenges and align technology solutions to their requirements.

  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and solution discussions to generate business opportunities.

  • Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth.

Vendor Collaboration

  • Work closely with technology vendors to execute business plans and growth initiatives.

  • Support vendor-led programs, marketing campaigns, promotions, and channel enablement activities.

  • Monitor vendor performance and maximize business opportunities through strategic alignment.

  • Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and solutions into the market.

Sales & Revenue Management

  • Own revenue, margin, and growth targets for assigned business portfolios.

  • Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through proactive opportunity generation.

  • Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts and business reports.

Solution Selling & Market Intelligence

  • Promote IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, networking, software, AI, or related technology solutions.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

  • Conduct market analysis and identify opportunities for business growth.

  • Develop strategies to improve competitive positioning and market penetration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Pre-Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Vendor teams.

  • Support successful execution of customer projects and business initiatives.

  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns, events, webinars, and lead-generation activities.

  • Ensure smooth communication between customers, partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Reporting & Performance Management

  • Track and monitor sales performance, pipeline status, and partner productivity.

  • Maintain CRM records and provide timely business updates.

  • Analyze sales trends and recommend corrective actions where required.

  • Present business reviews and growth plans to management.

  • Strong relationships within the reseller, system integrator, and channel partner ecosystem.

  • Proven track record of achieving revenue and growth targets.

Skills Required
