The successful incumbent will be based in Johannesburg and will need to travel frequently to support Business.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND WORK EXPERIENCE
Essential
- Open new doors and secure high-value contracts for on-site laboratories, sampling, preparation, and quality analysis services
- Expand AHK’s footprint in the coal market by identifying and winning site lab implementations and long-term partnerships
Required Competencies
- A strong track record of winning new business and developing key accounts in the coal value chain (mines, Exxaro, Glencore, Eskom-related, or independent producers)
- Deep understanding of local coal market dynamics, SANAS/ISO standards and compliance, and the operational challenges of Coal sites
- Hunter mentality combined with technical credibility and someone who speaks the language of coal professionals fluently
- Play a pivotal role in expanding our Energy Services offering in one or more of South Africa’s most important coal regions

Required Work Experience
- At least 5+ years working experience within coal mining, coal laboratory services, on-site lab operations, sampling/quality control, or commercial/sales roles serving in coal operations.
- A strong track record of winning new business and developing key accounts in the coal value chain (mines, Exxaro, Glencore, Eskom-related, or independent producers)
- Deep understanding of local coal market dynamics, SANAS/ISO standards and compliance, and the operational challenges of Coal sites
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 whilst a relevant B-degree or an equivalent qualification will be an added advantage
- Valid Drivers Licence
Required Languages
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
Travel
- Local and international travel will be required at times. The incumbent must have the ability to travel frequently across Southern Africa
- Valid passport
