A leading company in the Fintech space is seeking a
proactive and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to identify and
develop import/export business clients with cross-border payment needs within
the Nigerian market.
This role focuses on high-value B2B client acquisition,
relationship management, and business growth. It is not a retail or
door-to-door sales role.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify
and onboard importers and exporters with cross-border payment needs.
- Promote
the company’s local payment and foreign exchange solutions to corporate
clients.
- Support
clients with onboarding and usage of payment platforms and services.
- Conduct
regular market visits, client meetings, and business association
engagements.
- Build
and maintain strong partnerships with freight forwarders, logistics
companies, customs agents, and industry associations.
- Develop
and maintain long-term relationships with clients to ensure continuous
business growth.
- Gather
market intelligence and provide feedback on client needs and market trends
to management.
- Build
a strong pipeline of import/export businesses across industries such as:
- Fast-Moving
Consumer Goods (FMCG)
- Electronics
- Auto
Parts
- Building
Materials
- Textiles
- Machinery
& Equipment
Requirements
- Minimum
of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing,
Finance, or related field.
- Minimum
of 2 years’ experience in Business Development or B2B Sales.
- Previous
experience in Banking, Fintech, Cross-Border Services, Logistics, or
related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong
business development, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Highly
motivated, target-driven, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced
environment.
- Excellent
communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Existing
network within the importer/exporter community is an added advantage.
- Candidates
with personal transportation are strongly preferred.
Location Preference
Candidates residing around Berger Auto Market, Mile 12, or
nearby locations are preferred.
