Job Purpose

Drive growth and create business opportunities in Decarbonization markets across the Americas region by developing customer opportunities, building strategic market relationships and translating regional market insight into growth, Working across all T&P Product Lines, the role is responsible for market engagement, customer development, strategic ecosystem partnerships, opportunity creation, business opportunity modeling, regulations and fundings watch and new offering shaping, to generate a strong pipeline and secure new customer revenue in Decarbonation.

The role acts as the bridge between the external market and Product Lines, connecting with customers, regulators, industry ecosystems, technology partners, investors and value chain stakeholders to identify emerging market needs, regulatory drivers and commercial opportunities on decarbonization.

The position is accountable for converting market insights into actionable growth initiatives, including product innovation, strategic partnerships, market expansion opportunities and venture development initiatives.

Main Accountabilities

Market Intelligence & Opportunity Development

  • Continuously assess regional decarbonization markets and drivers across industrial sectors and value chains to identify new plays for Technip Energies.

  • Identify emerging customer needs, market gaps and unmet challenges that could lead to new offerings or business opportunities leveraging Technip Energies technol.

  • Monitor regulatory developments, incentives, carbon markets, industrial policies and funding mechanisms.

  • Translate regional customer needs into opportunities and commercial priorities.

  • Monitor market developments and competitive activity to anticipate future growth opportunities.

  • Develop market theses and strategic growth hypotheses for future business opportunities.

  • Build strategic recommendations and business cases for Product Line leadership and executive management.

Business Development & Commercialization

  • Identify and qualify new customer opportunities across the region

  • Support Product Line commercialization of Decarbonization offerings

  • Work alongside regional Business Development teams to position integrated solutions 

Client & Ecosystem Engagement & External Influence

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the decarbonization ecosystem, including Industrial customers, Regulators and policy makers, Industry associations, Technology companies, Investors and infrastructure funds, Start-ups and venture capital communities and Research institutions and universities

  • Develop qualified customer opportunities through direct engagement with industrial customers and strategic stakeholders

  • Represent Technip Energies at industry forums, conferences, trade associations and policy discussions.

  • Identify opportunities to influence market development and promote enabling regulatory frameworks.

Strategic Partnerships & Business Development

  • Identify and evaluate, build and manage strategic partnership opportunities that strengthen Technip Energies' competitive position.

  • Structure collaboration models with technology providers, feedstock suppliers, infrastructure owners and industrial partners.

  • Lead partnership development from opportunity identification through negotiation and implementation.

  • Support alliance management and ecosystem development initiatives.

New Offering & Venture Creation

  • Translate market insights into business cases, product innovation, and new service offerings and business models.

  • Support incubation and scaling of new ventures and strategic growth platforms.

  • Identify priority geographies, customer segments and value chains.

Profile

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics or related discipline. 

  • MBA preferred.

  • 10-15+ years of experience in business development, innovation or market development. 

  • Strong understanding of decarbonization markets and energy transition value chains. 

  • Experience developing partnerships and commercial ecosystems. 

  • Experience translating market opportunities into business cases and commercial offerings. 

  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization across multiple Product Lines and functions.

  • Ability to connect market trends, policy developments and technology evolution into actionable growth strategies.

  • Strong network builder with the ability to engage executives, regulators, investors and industry leaders.

  • Ability to identify opportunities before they become mainstream markets.

  • Strong understanding of business models, value creation and investment decision-making.

  • Executive presence with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and drive alignment across functions.

Skills Required
