Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a Business Developer to provide business development, strategic planning, and technical advisory support to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Space Warfare Directorate (AFRL/RJ) and Information and Spectrum Warfare Directorate (AFRL/RF) under the JUPITER program at Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. The Business Developer will support AFRL efforts to identify, evaluate, develop, and advance opportunities involving emerging technologies, research and development programs, strategic partnerships, and future warfighter capabilities.

The Business Developer will apply knowledge of business development, strategic planning, technology development, and relevant technical disciplines to support AFRL leadership and technical organizations. The position will contribute to assessments of technology opportunities, organizational and strategic initiatives, industry and government relationships, and approaches for advancing technologies from research and development through demonstration and potential transition.

Responsibilities

  • Provide business development and strategic advisory support to AFRL/RJ and AFRL/RF
  • Support strategic planning and business development activities associated with space warfare and information and spectrum warfare technology portfolios
  • Identify and assess technology, research, development, partnership, and investment opportunities relevant to AFRL mission areas
  • Evaluate business, technical, organizational, and strategic considerations associated with emerging technologies and R&D initiatives
  • Support development of strategies and approaches for advancing technologies, capabilities, and research initiatives
  • Assess potential industry, government, academic, and other technical partnerships
  • Support development of business cases, strategic recommendations, investment approaches, and decision-support materials
  • Research and analyze industry, technology, acquisition, and market trends relevant to AFRL mission areas
  • Support technology transition, commercialization, acquisition, and other pathways for advancing promising technologies where applicable
  • Develop and maintain relationships with government organizations, industry partners, academia, FFRDCs, and other stakeholders
  • Support meetings, working groups, technical exchanges, industry engagements, and other business development forums
  • Prepare business development strategies, market research, technical/business analyses, presentations, briefings, and written recommendations
  • Provide senior leadership with assessments and recommendations regarding business opportunities, technology investments, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
  • Support integration of emerging technologies and capabilities with future MAJCOM, Department of the Air Force, DoD, and other government requirements
  • Monitor developments in relevant technology, industry, acquisition, and research communities
  • Support strategic assessments and long-term planning for emerging space warfare and information and spectrum warfare capabilities
  • Collaborate with engineers, scientists, program managers, government leadership, industry, academia, and other technical stakeholders
  • Apply business development and strategic planning expertise to complex technical and organizational challenges
  • Support other business development, strategic planning, and advisory activities within the JUPITER scope

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility (TS/SCI)
  • Doctoral degree in management, organizational development, business, engineering, or science with 7 years of related experience in a technical field, OR master’s degree with 9 years of related experience, OR bachelor’s degree with 12 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, strategic planning, technology development, technical program support, or a related field
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate business and technical opportunities and develop actionable recommendations
  • Experience supporting technology-focused organizations, research and development programs, or technically complex initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex business, technical, and strategic issues
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior government, industry, technical, and organizational stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing presentations, briefings, analyses, and recommendations
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AFRL, Department of the Air Force, U.S. Space Force, DARPA, DoD, or other federal R&D organizations
  • Experience with space warfare, information and spectrum warfare, directed energy, electro-optics, space communications, PNT, space cyber, ISR, modeling and simulation, or related technologies
  • Experience developing technology investment, transition, acquisition, or commercialization strategies
  • Experience evaluating emerging technologies and their potential applications to future warfighter capabilities
  • Experience supporting government-industry partnerships, technical exchanges, industry engagement, or technology transition activities
  • Experience working with senior government leadership and technical executives
  • Experience developing strategic plans, business cases, investment strategies, or technology roadmaps
  • Experience working across government, industry, academia, and other technical organizations
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition, R&D, technology transition, and S&T investment processes
  • Experience supporting technical reviews, advisory boards, working groups, or senior-level decision forums
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business and strategic recommendations
