Sutherland is seeking a Business Analyst to play a key role in gathering business requirements, analyzing data, supporting software implementations, and delivering high-quality solutions across enterprise customer environments. This role requires strong analytical skills, customer interaction experience, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with customers, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and customer outcomes.
The Business Analyst performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:
- Gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements across customer projects and initiatives.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to define business processes, application requirements, integrations, reporting needs, dashboards, metrics, and data mapping requirements.
- Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications and project documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Support software implementation activities including application configuration, data analysis, testing activities, and deployment support.
- Perform data analysis activities using SQL, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to validate business requirements and support project delivery.
- Develop use cases, test scenarios, test plans, and test datasets to support quality assurance and customer acceptance testing activities.
- Partner with customers and cross-functional teams throughout testing phases to ensure successful validation and solution delivery.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including business requirements, process documentation, test plans, design specifications, and lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, workflows, and delivery practices.
- Communicate business processes, system capabilities, and solution functionality to customers, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Project Management, and Customer teams to deliver high-quality customer solutions.
- Advanced English proficiency (B2 or Higher)
- Experience working as part of project teams supporting implementations, software delivery, business analysis, or related functions.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with data, calculations, formulas, and problem-solving activities.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting processes, and supporting customer-facing projects.
- Knowledge of SQL and experience performing data analysis or database-related activities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working with enterprise applications, integrations, reporting platforms, business intelligence tools, databases, or related enterprise technologies is preferred.
- Experience supporting software implementations, testing activities, or SDLC processes is preferred.
Hybrid work model: 3 days working from home and 2 days onsite at our Torre Krystal offices in Bogotá.
