Job Description
We are seeking a driven Business Analyst with eagerness to grow and develop analytical skills while being a key contributor to our Credit and AR team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Develop SQL to analyze data, create Power BI reports to support data-driven analysis and decision-making. Flexible and unafraid to switch focus; frequent ad-hoc reporting, pausing on-going projects to address business questions, providing timely and accurate insights to stakeholders. Identify opportunities to enhance existing BI processes, tools, and reporting systems, and work with teams to implement improvements that boost efficiency and effectiveness.
- M&A: Support integration process through data processing, upload, validation, and post-integration support.
- Data Quality Improvements: Identify opportunities to improve data quality and accuracy, establish regular data audits and clean-up.
- Stakeholder Communication: Function as a liaison between IT and business units, ensuring clear communication and managing stakeholder expectations effectively.
- QA/Test Support Activities: Occasionally test and validate system changes to ensure they meet business requirements and function as expected.
- Trusted Advisor: Advise on and support reporting requests and calculations for ad-hoc reporting, data analysis to support projects and troubleshooting user issues/questions, development of new system fields, and process improvements.
- Continued Development: Stay up to date with emerging trends in AI, automation, and advanced analytics. Always exploring ways to integrate innovative technologies into BI strategy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience with Oracle EBS, understanding of its internal data structure, and ability to run canned and ad-hoc reporting.
- Ability to write and execute SQL, strong working knowledge of Oracle SQL Developer a plus.
- Familiarity and use with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, strong preference for candidates that have experience developing macros, or writing VBA.
- Speak analytics! A strong candidate will be able to translate complex business requirements into functional, action-driven reporting and deliverables.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Bachelors Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst working in Credit, AR, or Finance.
