Business Analyst - Operations National Distribution Service Center

This position is an ONSITE position that provides analytical support to the National Distribution Service Center. Compiles, analyzes, reports and interprets statistical data from a variety of sources to assist management in evaluating the effectiveness of existing efforts and in establishing strategic goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides research, analysis, and data to enable cost containment and improve Operations and Logistics processes. Evaluates business trends and operational processes and makes recommendations for process improvement and cost savings.

• Collects, analyzes, and summarizes operational key performance indicators (KPIs) on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, identifying trends and areas of opportunity. Compiles and analyzes data for reporting purposes and metrics development.

• Partners with the Operations Leadership Team to compare and analyze department-based and collective Distribution Center performance.

• Collaborates with the procurement team to source adequate inventory based on forecasts and trends to maintain service levels.

• Works with Operations leadership on item profiling and facility mapping to drive an effective and efficient warehouse environment.

• Provides inventory team support on cycle counts, recalls, and other tasks to ensure proper internal and external compliance.

• Operates material handling equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to support distribution center operations, inventory movement, and order fulfillment.

• Supports material flow and warehouse operations by safely transporting, staging, and organizing inventory within the facility.

• Completes assigned projects on time with thorough supporting documentation.

• Supports day-to-day analytical requests of both internal and external clients.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with preference for a major in Information Systems, Transportation and Logistics, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of operations, warehouse, or analytical experience, preferably within the distribution or logistics industry.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Experience working in a high-volume distribution center or warehouse environment.

• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, or inventory tracking systems.

• Experience supporting warehouse operations such as receiving, picking, replenishment, shipping, or inventory control.

• Experience operating material handling equipment including forklifts, stock pickers, pallet jacks, or similar equipment in a distribution environment.

• Experience analyzing operational metrics such as productivity, throughput, inventory accuracy, and order fulfillment performance.

• Exposure to warehouse layout planning, item slotting, or facility optimization initiatives.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)

• Demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.

• Strong oral and written communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities.

• Detail oriented with strong analytical capabilities.

• Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate within and outside the Operations division.

Working knowledge of warehouse operations, material flow, and distribution center processes.
