Business Analyst for Mobile applications

What are we looking for?

We are seeking an experienced and talented speaking Business Analyst (BA) to join our mobile applications development lab based in Belgrade, Serbia.

What do we expect from the candidate?

The candidate will be a crucial link between business requirements and technical implementation in a very dynamic and agile environment. Your priority is to understand the business requirements together with the technical setting and ensure that they are properly translated into functional specifications for developers. Additionally, we expect you to have experience in scrum tools to handle project plans, product updates and keep an overview of the product roadmap.

The key responsibilities:

• Requirement Management: Effectively gather and translate stakeholder requirements into technical specifications. Use agile methodologies to maintain flexibility and responsiveness.
• Feature Definition: Define application features and phases comprehensively, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations and business objectives.
• Specification Leadership: Guide the specification process, ensuring solutions are effectively defined, documented, and delivered according to project requirements.
• Agile Project Facilitation: Act as a Scrum Master, leading agile ceremonies and overseeing project timelines and deliverables. Manage project risks and milestones.
• Technical Documentation: Produce detailed technical documentation, including API guides, system diagrams, and user manuals, to support development and implementation.
• Train users (and the business support team) during the implementation and roll-out of the mobile applications.
• Support Testing: Define with the team QA and stakeholders (business users, product owners, and management) test scenarios to ensure the quality of the mobile applications.
  

Skills and Qualifications (Must have):

• Business Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand business processes and identify improvement areas. Expertise in eliciting detailed requirements from stakeholders and translating them into clear, actionable technical specifications.
• Agile Methodology: Proficient in Agile practices with experience serving as a Scrum Master. Capable of facilitating sprint ceremonies and managing agile project workflows.
• Ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, API documentation, and user manuals.
• Excellent communication skills in fluent English for effective stakeholder engagement and documentation.
  

Skills and Qualifications (Nice to have):

• UX/UI Design Principles: Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles to collaborate effectively with design teams and ensure mobile app interfaces meet user expectations.
• Software testing: Experience with software testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with APIs and adequate technologies like GraphQL Postman, Rest-Assured.
• Experience with cloud services: Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services, particularly with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) / Firebase is highly desirable.
• Experience in D365 Finance&Operations is a plus
• French Language is considered a huge bonus
• Technical Background: Familiarity with backend technologies (C# and Node.js), frontend frameworks (React Native and Kotlin), and database systems (Google Firebase, PostgreSQL, SQL) to communicate effectively with the development team.
• Project Management Tools: Knowledge of project management tools (JIRA, Asana, Trello) and collaboration platforms (Confluence, Slack).
  

Desired Certificates

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of proven experience as a BA or scrum manager in the tech industry, with a significant focus on mobile application development projects.
• Certifications in process management methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean) or Agile methodologies (e.g., Certified Scrum Master) are highly beneficial.

• Demonstrated ability to tackle complex problems effectively and adapt to fast-paced development environments.
• Strong leadership qualities and the ability to mentor junior consultants.
• Attention to detail
• Proven track record of working effectively in remote team settings, demonstrating flexibility, and contributing positively to a collaborative work environment.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyse complex requirements, identify potential bottlenecks, and devise effective solutions. Strong debugging skills to efficiently resolve issues in the development process.
