The MMB Analytics team are key to driving forward the analytics proposition internally within MMB and to Clients, operating as experts within the business in order to help the organisation provide a competitive advantage through analytics.
Having grown in size and remit in recent years, the team are looking to continue this trend going forward and hence will be looking to you to embrace this challenge.
Acting as a Business Analyst for the MMB Analytics team, you will be expected to assist the team in defining requirements, hosting workshops and enabling timely delivery of Products. We will look to you to make sure that best practices and high documentation standards are maintained throughout the product development lifecycle, and you will enable the build of products at a global, regional and country perspective that contribute to achieving the team’s objectives. You will also be expected to work closely with the Business, Commercial and Technology teams, as well as the rest of the Product team within the MMB Analytics team to ensure that products are successfully delivered and enabled.
We will count on you to:
- Work with the Senior Project Manager, Product Owner, and other Business Analysts to create and monitor business requirements.
- Document and evaluate business and technical processes, defining the development of solutions alongside the MMB Analytics team.
- Collaborate with consultants and other SMEs in various countries to gather and analyse requirements for onboarding users to Analytics solutions.
- Assess and understand individual country processes and requirements to determine how it integrates into the global product roadmap.
- Partner with external teams to evaluate how country-specific data can be incorporated into analytics systems.
- Schedule and lead regular meetings to identify areas of concern and address requests for update, ensuring proper escalation to the relevant teams where necessary.
- Participate in product walk-throughs, functional test plans and implementation sessions.
- Ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements, using acceptance criteria or other known practices.
- Perform requirements analysis and produce thorough documentation.
- Convert high-level product features or requirements into user stories, providing the development team with the required information to action.
- Report on common sources of technical issues or questions, making recommendations to the associated team(s).
What you need to have:
- 5 years’ experience in a relevant role, demonstrating product knowledge and understanding and applying this to the position.
- The ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to management and the MMB Analytics team in concise and easy-to-understand formats.
- Strong communication skills, and able to present information in a format appropriate to different audiences.
- A proactive and self-starter attitude, taking initiative and comfortably scoping, driving and executing on initiatives driven by the team.
- An understanding and ability to follow what ‘best practice’ documentation looks like.
- Ability to maintain discretion and deal appropriately with confidential information.
- An awareness of SaaS product delivery and a data-led mindset.
- Collaborative mindset - willing to learn and willing to help others.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Word etc.).
- Fluent in English.
