As a Business Analyst I- Filter Initiatives in Screening Support Operations, you will handle onboarding for Payment Sanctions screening where the focus is on ensuring compliance with US and International sanctions regulations while optimizing efficiency in the screening processes across global payment systems. The team collaborates with Global Screening Operations (GSO) transformation, Compliance, Lines of Business, Centralized List Operations, and Technology teams to implement sanctions screening business rules and other logics for the new and incremental onboarding.
Job responsibilities
- Utilize automation technologies to optimize processes, enhance efficiency, and support the implementation of business strategies.
- Review Project JIRA, Questionnaire, and understand the screening requirement as well as research Current Origin setting per Application and existing business rules and build an effective and efficient Business rule for a payment sanctions screening.
- Review Payment transactions for Volume Mitigation related to the Onboarding and identify opportunities to mitigate the false matched hits and build a volume mitigation rule and/or create approved-entities to optimize screening efficiency.
- Review Typical Day Data (TDD) file and Initial hit rate for Fine Tuning and identify opportunities to reduce false positive matches and maintain the existing hit rate by introducing the approved-entities or rule that effectively manages hit rate expectations.
- Work on Adhoc Projects such as approved-entities Clean-up, List onboarding (New Designation onboarding under an Internal list), Firco Filter Version Upgrade, Screening requirement change /exception screening and Special fine-tuning request from line of business
- Provide insights and recommendations to team members, ensuring tasks and responsibilities are aligned with project objectives for efficient and effective outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams across the organization to align efforts, share knowledge, and drive the successful execution of projects.
- Leverage digital platforms and technological tools to improve processes, enhance customer interactions, and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct data analysis with a focus on uncovering patterns and providing insightful reporting, showcasing expertise equivalent to 3+ years of experience.
- Good knowledge of Payment Screening and the various applications used
- Understanding of Sanction Screening and its nuances
- Keen eye for detail and logical/analytical thinker
- Ability to work with the team as a cohesive unit and manage strong relationships with stakeholder
- Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure accurate and timely completion and ability to step up and take on additional responsibilities basis business need.
