We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a strategic banking transformation initiative focused on finance, accounting, and regulatory readiness processes.
You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Operations, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to analyse current processes, define target operating models, and support the design of capabilities enabling financial close activities under complex regulatory scenarios.
What You'll Do- Gather and document business requirements across Finance, Operations, and Technology teams
- Develop operational procedures, process maps, flowcharts, and execution timelines for financial close processes
- Analyse and document current ("as-is") and future-state ("to-be") processes, identifying dependencies, parallel activities, and operational risks
- Document accounting, finance, and supporting systems involved in financial close activities
- Support the design of procedures covering backups, test environments, and operational readiness
- Contribute to the documentation of balance sheet, P&L, and capital adequacy calculation processes across regulatory and resolution scenarios
- Support testing activities, document findings, and provide recommendations for process and system improvements
- Assess system readiness for financial close, reporting, and backdated accounting entries
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to define roles, responsibilities, and governance requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within banking, financial services, or consulting
- Strong experience in process analysis, process mapping, and business documentation
- Understanding of finance, accounting, regulatory reporting, or financial close processes
- Experience facilitating workshops and managing stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in Finance Transformation, Regulatory Change, or Banking Transformation programmes
- Knowledge of General Ledger, Financial Close, Capital Adequacy, or Regulatory Reporting processes
- Familiarity with Resolution Planning, Recovery & Resolution, Bail-in, or MREL frameworks
- Experience with BPMN, Visio, Signavio, or similar process modelling tools
- Employment contract and/or Business-to-Business – whichever you prefer
- Speaking English on a daily basis, mainly in contact with foreign stakeholders and peers
- Ongoing learning opportunities to help you acquire new skills or deepen existing expertise
