About this opportunity
We are looking for a motivated Build Solution Consultant Intern with a focus on Radio Access Networks (RAN) to join our team in Rome.
In this role, you will support experienced specialists in the design, preparation and delivery of technology solutions for complex network infrastructure projects, with a focus on Radio Access Networks, 5G and mission critical communication scenarios. You will gain exposure to the full journey from pre-sales and solution preparation to site engineering, implementation management and delivery support, learning how network solutions are built, tested and delivered in real customer environments.
This internship is a great opportunity for someone passionate about technology, curious about how complex systems work, and interested in developing a practical understanding of networks end-to-end, from radio access to transport, core, cloud and site infrastructure.
What you will do
As a Build Solution Consultant Intern, you will support the team in:
  • Preparing technical inputs, documentation and materials for customer opportunities, including RAN, 5G and system integration solutions
  • Supporting site engineering activities, including the analysis of technical requirements, site information and implementation needs, for radio sites and special coverage solutions
  • Contributing to site solution preparation and technical documentation, with exposure to topics such as radio design, energy systems and IP connectivity
  • Supporting implementation management activities, including follow-up on timelines, open points and delivery actions
  • Gaining exposure to field and delivery activities, learning how solutions are implemented, tested and supported in real customer networks
  • Working closely with experienced colleagues to build technical and delivery expertise, learning how to translate customer needs into practical, implementable solutions

The role is suited for someone who:
  • Enjoys understanding how things work, from antennas and radio systems to energy and IP transport/Core/Cloud
  • Is curious about 5G, private networks and mission critical use cases (for example, transport, defense, utilities, major events)
  • Is not afraid to work hands-on, on technical details and field-related topics
  • Is motivated by solving technical problems in dynamic environments and by contributing to visible customer outcomes

You will bring
  • Ongoing or recently completed university degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, IT or a related technical field
  • Strong interest in telecommunications, IT systems, networks, system integration and technology solutions
  • Hands-on technical mindset and curiosity for testing, troubleshooting and understanding how things work in practice
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, under the guidance of experienced mentors
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel when required for project or field activities
  • Proactive attitude, reliability and willingness to work in dynamic technical environments
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally when required for project or field activities
  • Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, Power Bi and AI prompt strategy
  • Previous work experience is not required. Any academic projects, labs or personal initiatives related to networks, radio, IP, energy systems or software will be considered a plus.
