C.H. Robinson is seeking a Border Network Development Manager to help build and strengthen the cross-border ecosystem that supports reliable, scalable U.S.–Mexico operations. In this role, you will serve as a key external market representative, developing strategic partnerships with carriers, shippers, cross docks, drayage providers, border warehouses, and customs-adjacent vendors. You will help create customer opportunities, expand carrier capacity, and align vendor relationships to support high-quality service, competitive pricing, and long-term growth. This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner closely with Sales, Operations, Compliance, and Procurement to drive success across the border network.

Responsibilities:The duties and responsibilities of this position consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
- Diagnose customer needs, qualify opportunities, and support Sales in designing and closing cross-border solutions
- Educate internal teams on cross-border requirements, market trends, and operational best practices
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities that strengthen shipper experience, network performance, and service execution
- Own and develop strategic relationships with warehouse, facility, vendor, and border partners
- Conduct business reviews, site visits, and performance discussions to ensure SLA and KPI expectations are met
- Negotiate partner renewals, expansions, pricing strategies, and service growth opportunities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on cross-border operations, influencing internal strategy and business decisions
- Build, develop, and retain a high-quality portfolio of cross-border carriers in partnership with capacity and portfolio teams
- Monitor carrier performance across key metrics, including PTA, OTD, dwell, compliance, SOP adherence, and service expectations
- Act as the escalation point for major service issues, leading root cause analysis, recovery planning, risk communication, and partner-driven improvements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or cross-border roles involving carrier, customer, or vendor engagement
- Fluency in written and verbal English and Spanish
- Ability to travel up to 25%, (domestic and international)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Previous logistics industry cross-border or border-market dynamics (e.g., Laredo, El Paso, Calexico) strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and problem resolution skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency presenting to both internal and external audiences
- Experience consulting with multiple stakeholders across varying organizational levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to build strong relationships with customers, carriers, warehouse partners, and external partners
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume, results-driven environment
- Prior people leadership experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Compensation Range
$77,000.00 - $173,600.00The base pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by work location, which takes into account geographic cost of labor, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
