Bocconi Recruiting Day - Accounts Receivable Intern

Location: HQ - Piazza Arcole 4, Milano

Contract: 6 months full-time internship

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Receivable Intern to join our Finance team. You’ll be playing a key role in managing customer invoicing and collections, supporting accurate financial reporting in a fast-growing e-commerce context. Working closely with the Accounts Receivable Coordinator, you’ll help maintain smooth and reliable receivables operations.

What you’ll do:

• Support the accurate and timely issuance of B2B and marketplace invoices, following internal procedures and applicable fiscal requirements.

• Help monitor incoming payments and follow up on outstanding balances.

• Assist with reconciling customer accounts and recording cash receipts.

• Work with the Customer Happiness team to investigate billing or payment discrepancies.

• Support the preparation of VAT and Sales Tax documentation.

• Assist with month-end reconciliations and journal entries related to receivables.

• Help maintain accurate AR reports and identify opportunities to improve processes.

• Provide documentation for annual audits.

• Support process automation and system optimization projects.

Who we’re looking for:

• Currently studying, or recently graduated in, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

• A good understanding of accounting principles; previous experience is not required.

• Confident using Excel, with an interest in developing your skills further.

• Detail-oriented, curious, and comfortable solving problems.

• Proficient in Italian and English, both written and spoken.

• Collaborative, proactive, and interested in working in a fast-moving, international environment.
