Reporting to the Senior Supervisor in the Biochemistry Team, the Biochemist will contribute to the successful functioning and overall objectives of the Biochemical Research and R&D teams. This role will primarily involve working on specific research challenges, including the development of new assay kit and enzyme products. The role holder will take responsibility for the management of their own R&D projects and proactively work towards their completion within agreed timeframes. The role requires the candidate to have good laboratory skills and a good knowledge of biochemical assays and their applications. The role also requires excellent attention to detail, problem solving, record keeping, organisational, communicative, inter-personal, and multi-tasking abilities. The candidate must be a proactive team player with the ability to work on their own initiative.
