Billing System Engineer - Comarch BSS (f/m/n)

We are looking for a Billing System Engineer to support and develop our billing platform (Comarch BSS) across the InPost Group. In this role, you will be responsible for the stability, configuration, and continuous operation of billing systems, ensuring reliable end‑to‑end data flows and supporting system expansion across European markets.

You will work closely with product, infrastructure, security, CRM, and data teams, as well as external vendors, translating complex technical topics into clear, actionable solutions.

What you will do

• Maintain and develop Comarch BSS (Product Catalog, Billing, Billing Mediation): configuration, updates, performance monitoring, and incident resolution.
• Monitor system processes, analyze logs, identify and resolve data and runtime issues.
• Ensure stability and continuity of system integrations and interfaces across the billing ecosystem.
• Manage backups, data recovery processes, and system availability and resilience.
• Take technical ownership of the billing system after deployments and during ongoing operations.
• Cooperate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance with audit and security requirements.
• Track the BSS roadmap, run Proofs of Concept, and maintain high‑quality technical documentation.

• 3+ years of experience working with Comarch BSS (Product Catalog, Billing, Billing Mediation).
• 2+ years of experience with SQL for data analysis and troubleshooting.
• Experience in enterprise system integrations and familiarity with integration tools.  
• Knowledge of billing processes (invoicing, rating, usage‑based billing).
• Good knowledge of Linux, REST API testing, Apache Kafka, and databases such as Oracle / PostgreSQL / Elasticsearch.
• Active use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot) for log analysis, SQL optimization, documentation, and initial problem diagnosis.
• English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, data warehouses, or event streaming platforms.
• Knowledge of Apache Cassandra and Kubernetes.
• Experience with prompt engineering and automating operational work using AI tools.
