The Opportunity:
As an outstanding Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation of simple to complex project invoices and submitting them to our customers via numerous methods and tracking through payment.
Responsibilities:
Use the Costpoint financial system to create project invoices in accordance with CACI standards and policies.
Invoice timely and accurately, with invoices being submitted within the specified contract or CACI standards.
Support of internal, external and government audits as required.
Execution of SOX controls related to invoicing process.
Key contributor within the project team for invoicing issues.
Knowledge of FAR, T&M, Cost Plus and Fixed Price invoicing requirements.
Ability to use COGNOS and Excel on an intermediate level.
Be on the alert for continuous improvement opportunities within the invoicing process.
Work independently and with the team to meet objectives.
Provides advice, training and guidance to less experienced employees.
Ability to meet or exceed deadlines and prioritize your work accordingly.
Tracking payment status as needed and requesting updates to provide to leadership for reporting metrics.
Qualifications:
Required:
3+ year of billing experience.
Bachelor’s degree or associate/Vocational/Technical education or equivalent work experience.
Fluency reading and writing in English.
Work independently and/or with limited guidance.
Work within collaborative teams.
Desired:
Knowledge of government accounting.
Experience working with government customers.
Desire to learn/leverage technology to improve processes and efficiency.
Experience working in Costpoint, WAWF, IPP, MPO, COGNOS, etc.
Knowledge of government contracts: CPFF, FFP, T&M.
Courses or a degree in Accounting.
Ability to identify root cause and solve problems.
Detail-oriented and quality focused.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
