Position Summary:
Assist Billing Coordinators with the administration of unbilled inventory and the preparation of client billings, including manual billings and electronic filings. Reports to Billing Manager. Interacts with billing team, attorneys, management team, secretarial staff and clients.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation and processing of transactional monthly and quarterly client billings
- Assists with generation of pre-billing reports and draft bills to be distributed to partners
- Assist with the processing of modifications/adjustments to Time/Cost cards
- Assist with responding to and resolving billing inquiries from attorneys, secretarial staff and management team
- Performs special projects as requested
- Monitor billing inboxes to support the team
Qualifications:
Entry level position, accounting background preferred but not mandatory
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not mandatory
Experience: Initial exposure to law firm billing
Skills & Abilities:
Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines. Must have ability to work in a team environment. Knowledge of billing processes and related software applications preferred. Knowledge of Excel and Word. All positions require punctuality and regular attendance.
The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
New York Salary Range
$55,000—$55,000 USD
