Role Summary:

Our US Bid Management team provides support to the US Business Development and Account teams to produce professional and competitive global proposals in response to Enterprise and Public Sector sales opportunities. The typical value of opportunities ranges from 1 million to 20 million total contract value.

Job Scope/Supervision:

As part of daily activities, you will be required to maintain regular contact with a variety of internal teams including Account Management, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Service Delivery, Assurance and Finance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination of the virtual bid team to ensure bids are created to the highest quality and submitted on time
  • Leadership of the VBT and through own creation of compelling and best practice content
  • Bid reviews including ensuring quality and consistency review before final release
  • Ensure win/loss reviews are held for all completed bids
  • Clear leadership, by example, in the delivery of quality bid documentation and process
  • Accurately plan for the key steps involved in complex IT bids and ensure complete buy-in from the VBT to the Bid Plan
  • Work with the Salesperson and the customer to understand requirements and feedback
  • Recognize, understand and work with senior stakeholders to mitigate risks in all areas of the bid (technical, commercial, legal, operational etc.)
  • Play a key role in the qualification process and Bid/No Bid decision

Required Experience/Qualifications:

  • Managing bids in Telecommunications, cloud or complex IT sectors
  • Managing complex and diverse Virtual Bid Teams
  • Excellent written communication skills and the ability to listen, absorb and understand accurately
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • A good working understanding of the services and related technologies that GTT provides
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • A good working understanding of all bid areas – technical, operations, commercial, legal etc.

Desirable Experience/Qualifications:

  • APMP / Shipley Qualified to Practitioner level
  • Experience of working with Sales teams using formal Sales Methodology Practices (Miller Heiman)
