Role OverviewRZR is looking for a BI Intern to join our Analytics and Operations team in China. This is a hands-on internship for someone who wants to learn how a fast-moving ad tech company turns data into decisions — not a program built around observation and busywork.
You'll work directly with senior BI analysts on real production data, building dashboards, writing SQL, and supporting live reporting used by stakeholders across the business. The team works closely with Data Engineering, Machine Learning, and Revenue functions, so you'll get exposure well beyond a typical intern seat.
We're looking for curiosity and potential over polished experience. Strong interns have a clear path to a full-time BI Analyst role at RZR.
Key Responsibilities- Help build and maintain dashboards used by the business
- Write SQL queries to pull and explore data, with guidance from senior analysts
- Support ad-hoc data requests and reporting
- Shadow BI analysts to learn workflows, tools, and stakeholder communication
- Contribute to data quality checks and reporting health monitoring
- Document processes and findings clearly
- Practice clear written communication of data findings to non-technical audiences
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Basic SQL knowledge (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, simple filtering)
- Comfortable working in Excel
- Strong curiosity and a genuine willingness to learn
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Nice to have: exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or any BI tool through coursework or personal projects
- Nice to have: basic Python (pandas, scripting)
- Nice to have: a prior internship in data, analytics, or BI
- Nice to have: any project demonstrating data analysis (school, Kaggle, personal)
- Nice to have: interest in ad tech or mobile gaming
- Work on real production data and real problems from day one — not toy exercises
