As a BI Analyst III, you are responsible for supporting and managing a program of business unit-focused initiatives designed to help business partners drive value from information. Contributes to Charter's success by ensuring business needs and goals are realized through analysis and reporting activities of the Business Intelligence Group. Responsible for supporting the Sr Manager or Director of Business Intelligence to empower Charter business leaders with concise, high-quality information, helping them leverage it to identify and address business opportunities and threats. Provides consultation on the interpretation of data to various business partners throughout the organization. Come join our team and help us drive success through data!

  • Actively and consistently supporting all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Serving as a thought partner to stakeholders by surfacing relevant information through our BI tools to empower data-driven decisions.
  • Providing expert advice and education in the usage and interpretation of business data relevant to the business unit.
  • Clear and concisely communicating data nuances and insights to all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborating closely with business partners to gather detailed business requirements, developing business definitions and report mockups, working with the technical team to finalize designs and gaining business approval.
  • Interacting with senior management or executive level customers and provides support as needed.
  • Understanding data elements in the warehouse at a very detailed grain to support any form of user needs from research to adhoc querying to managing large information projects.
  • Presenting facts in an easy-to-understand format with proper documentation for successful user adoption.
  • Managing detailed plans on projects to ensure successful completion.
  • Maintaining metadata dictionaries and report definitions.
  • Working with cross functional teams to ensure alignment in business needs, timelines and department standards.
  • Developing and offer suggestions for user test planning, executing and assessing testing results to ensure the solution fulfills the needs of the business.
  • Identifying areas for improvement, using industry best practices, and leading the team in continually improving BI practice.
  • Leading and mentoring junior team members while also serving as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Determining and evaluating the cross-functional and system-to-system implications of requirements and modification requests.
  • Using advanced Excel skills to capture and communicate data findings.
  • Performing other duties as requested.


WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications

  • Experience performing business analysis across a variety of industries, business functions and technologies - 7+
  • Data Analytics, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education - 4+
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal
  • Proven experience and passion for leveraging data to drive business impact
  • Advanced statistical knowledge and intuition ideally utilized in A/B Expert SQL skills
  • Expertise with BI Data Modeling concepts such as Star/Snowflake Schema, Dimensions and Facts
  • Ability to speak to large groups with excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to perform critical thinking in the area of data analysis with advanced analytical skills
  • Demonstrated team and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to lead and mentor
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently, effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects/assignments
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to understand complex business processes and rules, as well as gain business acumen to become subject matter expert


Required Education
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Mathematics, or Business Administration or relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with reporting/Business Intelligence tools (MicroStrategy, Terradata)
  • Experience with data visualization standards and techniques to visually summarize data and insights
  • Experience with Cable TV, Internet, and/or Phone products & services or other related industry
