Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is a champion for data best practices in our UK Hub Business teams. They are responsible for providing analytics and insights to drive data-driven decisions for our stakeholders, improve data literacy of the business teams, and support them. Part of this involves developing self-serve access solutions to the data via PowerBI. They will be working with different business units to develop solutions that will aid stakeholders in decision making and evaluation of the performance of certain shows or products. They should have the experience in connecting multiple data sources from both on-premises & cloud-based environments and have a good practical understanding of the capabilities of PowerBi or any data visualization platform.
Accountabilities:
Design, develop, test and deploy SQL queries and troubleshoot errors. Able to use Power Query to transform data in Power BI
Perform Power BI administration tasks as required and make recommendations for continual improvements in how PowerBi is being used
Create PowerBI measures, code DAX and M-query
Connect different data sources to PowerBI
Create relationships between data and develop tabular and other multidimensional data models
Create & maintain documentation that explains BI report, parameters, models, and relationships
Design, develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts and troubleshoot errors
Effectively prioritize and manage concurrently assigned project tasks, dependencies and expectations.
Demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
Independently troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis to resolve support issues in relation to reports & dashboards
Directly partners with stakeholders to articulate KPIs and recommend insights and implications
Perform adhoc analysis and reports as needed by the business unit
Qualifications:
Intermediate skills on MS Office
Demonstrable proficiency on data visualization and ETL tools (we use Power BI/ Power Query/ Power Automate); knowledge of python for data wrangling is preferred
Demonstrable proficiency of SQL and Cloud databases
Advance knowledge on data analysis
Able to understand business questions and create reports/analysis that address those questions
General knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy laws globally
Excellent presentation skills
Proven stakeholder management
Excellent communication skills
Proven time and project management skills (Agile)
Impeccable work ethics
Other Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree holder
At least 2 years of relevant experience
Experience dealing with various stakeholders in a global perspective
