Role Summary: 

We have an exciting opportunity for an Agency Operator. We are looking for an enthusiastic, independent, inquisitive and hands-on colleague to strengthen our team in Antwerp.

In addition to a standard working week, you will be required to undertake work out of usual office hours on a rota basis.

Location: Antwerp, Belgium

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain daily contact with multiple parties such as; the customer, vessels, authorities and other maritime vendors.
• Be the first point of contact for customers.
• Visit vessels upon arrival/during and leaving the port.
• Supervise and control all deliveries that are made to the vessels.
• Responsible for crew changes (arranging hotels, taxi etc.)
• Making sure all internal and external IT systems are kept up-to-date, such as customs, harbour systems etc.)
• Advise Local Authorities on vessel details and liaise with Vessel Master and Principal Operator daily.
• Monitoring and managing vessel activities to efficiently schedule Operations Representatives’ work activities.
• Develop and Maintain relationships with Local Vendors. Review and report their performance on a periodic basis.
• Update Daily Handover and monitor email traffic for the office.

Who You Are:

• In possession of a A2 diploma in secondary education.
• Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing.
• You are accurate, customer-oriented, an organizer and a coordinator.
• You have good communication skills.
• Willing to work according to applicable schedule in the morning / evening / night / weekend.
• In possession of a Driver's License B.
• Experience in a similar role in the maritime industry.
• Able to provide a positive background check as per local legislation.
