Job Description
Key responsibilities and accountabilities
- Act as the primary escalation point for the Tech team leads in each of the technology teams and wider stakeholders, including:
Enterprise Data Group
- Platform Architecture & Delivery
- Contribute to the planning of the India team structure through continual assessment of teammates, both formally and informally to ensure alignment with Barings strategic and tactical goals
- Participate in the recruitment of India staff and oversee training, mentoring, and retention of the team
- Manage exceptions to ensure early detection and appropriate escalation
- Act as a liaison between the team and Heads of Enterprise Data and Platform Architecture & Delivery
- Deliver appropriate management information to senior management providing effective intelligence on the services and functions
- Understand and be knowledgeable of the application suite that the global team supports
- Ensure the team has adequate cover for all required skill sets so enabling support to be delivered despite shift patterns, holiday or sickness, thus posing no single points of failure
Goals
- Lead the implementation of the Barings India strategy on behalf of all Tech Teams, while delivering accurate and timely services to stakeholders
- Drive transformations by leveraging people, processes, and technology
- Act as onsite escalation of team mates for day to day issues
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Demonstrable experience of managing and leading multidisciplinary technology teams, preferably in a financial services environment
- Good working knowledge of collective Enterprise Data tools and Technology infrastructures
- Ability to analyze the activity for problem solving and management reporting
- Attention to detail and ability to undertake root cause analysis
- Demonstrable understanding of operational risk management controls
- Strong communication/ interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Ability to build positive working relationships with people across the business
- Strong project management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks and work well under pressure

The SEZ facility will also provide common creche and eat-out restaurants in the building premises, once operational.
