Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Management, operations and oversight of Rubrik Backup and Recovery Infrastructure.
- Assist with Modernization of operational capabilities for backup and recovery solutions.
- Troubleshoot all Backup/Recovery related issues (performance and incident management).
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades and resource optimization as required.
- Provide preventative maintenance routines to ensure system performance, availability, and security.
- Configure and manage Backup and Recovery tooling including defining and maintaining SLA’s
- Assure operational activities and SLA’s are met. Act as an escalation point for issues related to Backup and Recovery (i.e. for a variety of systems including Windows, Linux, Unix (AIX), Databases (SQLServer, Oracle, DB2, etc.), NAS, File servers, VMWare infrastructure etc.)
- Assist the team in defining standards for Backup and Recovery technologies and best practices.
- Prepare standard operating procedures and documentation for Backup and Recovery environment.
- Produce extensive detailed documentation according to Chubb standards.
- Work with the Project Management office on migration to new backup solution(s).
- Assists in the development of disaster recovery plans.
- Build automation scripts for the infrastructure technologies supported.
- Participate in change and incident management as needed
- Analyze and troubleshoot Rubrik deployment and operational issues.
- Practical hands-on experience with Backup and Recovery technologies.
- Good understanding of Disaster Recovery at a server and datacenter level.
- Good understanding of networking and network technologies and concepts
- Rubrik experience is a plus
- Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of technology towers i.e.: Backup and Recovery, Virtualization, Storage, Intel, Networking, Data Center Migration and Disaster Recovery.
- Good analytical skills and a methodical mindset
- Hands-on technical experience with enterprise technologies including Backup, Recovery and Disaster Recovery.
- Excellent problem determination and debugging skills
- Document root cause including remediation and detection
- Ability to work independently and on a team with colleagues across the globe
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-driven with the ability to manage workload without direct supervision
- Scripting/automation skills are a plus
- Experience working with Virtualization technologies such as VMWare
