About the Team
The Back-End Engineer plays an important role at GBM by contributing to the implementation and evolution of sustainable backend solutions that support critical business processes. This position is focused on delivering high-quality software, improving existing services, and helping the team adopt sound engineering practices.
In a typical week you will
Activities:
- Implement backend components, APIs, and services aligned with team architecture and standards.
- Participate in technical design discussions for features and component-level changes.
- Troubleshoot issues and contribute to improving performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with front-end, QA, product, and peer engineers during delivery.
- Contribute to testing, observability, and deployment readiness of owned work.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality code in alignment with team standards and architectural guidelines.
- Own the implementation and maintenance of assigned features or components.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical discussions, and team ceremonies.
- Support the stability and evolution of the team’s services through continuous improvement.
- Escalate risks and blockers in a timely and responsible manner.

- Experience in fintech, capital markets, or high-availability environments is a plus.
