Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying backend services that power our core products. You will work with a modern tech stack centered on Python and AWS, with a specific focus on building scalable, event-driven architectures and integrating the latest Generative AI technologies into our systems. Your expertise will be crucial in building robust and highly available applications that can handle complex data flows and business logic.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
• Design and implement event-driven workflows using AWS Step Functions to orchestrate business processes.
• Integrate and leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) with AWS Bedrock to build AI-powered features.
• Utilize and manage core AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora/Postgres, and S3.
• Design and build large-scale, high-availability systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and security.
• Work with microservices and containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end solutions.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in backend software engineering, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Python proficiency for backend development.
• Hands-on expertise with AWS Step Functions and event-driven architecture.
• Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Aurora/Postgres, and S3.
• Proven ability to design and implement large-scale, high-availability systems.
• Experience with microservices and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience integrating LLMs with AWS Bedrock.
• Practical experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks.
• Experience with Kafka or other event-streaming systems.
• Proficiency with AWS observability tools such as CloudWatch and X-Ray.
• Background in building complex AI-driven workflows that combine structured logic with LLM reasoning.
• A proven track record in production-grade systems within financial, enterprise, or other regulated industries.
