Job Description:

AWS Technical Consultant
 

Due to continued growth we have a fantastic opportunity for an AWS Technical Consultant to join our Cloud Solutions team. Our Technical Consultants routinely provide post-sales technical consultancy, undertake delivery and implementation engagements, as well as providing pre-sales qualification and design to consultancy engagements.

As an AWS Technical Consultant will have experience in a technical consulting type role, with an excellent understanding and experience of delivering AWS centric solutions.

What you can expect to be getting up to as the AWS Technical Consultant

Solution Pre-Sales and Scoping

  • Lead with qualification of designs and opportunities
  • Lead and present at customer opportunities and workshop sessions
  • Takes responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution
  • Identifies, evaluates and recommends options, implementing if required
  • Collaborates with, and facilitates stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements
  • Seeks to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited
  • Lead and contribute to Statement of Works

Service Delivery

  • Undertake individual consultancy assignments or work on a project as part of a larger team analysing customer requirements, gathering and analysing data and recommending solutions
  • Technically manage the design and implementation of solutions, with the exception of those which are high risk/large scale
  • Ensure consultancy assignments are undertaken consistently and with quality
  • Highlight technical risks so that any Comms-care exposure to commercial loss can be minimised
  • Produce and update assignment documentation as required
  • Ensure that hand over to relevant support organisation is successfully completed
  • Provide technical support as requested, for internal and external customers

  • Excellent communicator both verbally and written
  • Excellent knowledge of chosen subject matter
  • A flexible approach to work and prepared 'go the extra mile' to exceed customer expectations
  • Applies knowledge and skills through handling complex problems beyond own area of expertise
  • Ability and willingness to travel (Full Driving Licence Required)
  • AWS Well-Architected Framework engagements
  • Public and/or Private Cloud Architecture
  • Software design
  • Security (Architecture or Engineering)
  • Infrastructure or Application Migrations
  • Platform or Systems Engineering/Administration
  • Operations in hybrid cloud environment
  • Big Data or Data Analytics
