Leidos is seeking an experienced AWACS Technical Advisor to support the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) E‑3 AWACS fleet as part of our Contractor Engineering and Technical Support (CETS) team. This role directly supports a U.S. Air Force Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to mission‑critical international aviation operations. This is a one‑year assignment with an option to renew.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide expert engineering and technical support for RSAF aircraft general maintenance and technician‑level issues.
Serve as the primary focal point for maintenance activities, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries and engineering responses.
Coordinate closely with the Field Service Representative at the Main Operating Base (MOB) to address maintenance challenges.
Facilitate seamless technical communication between the RSAF and contractor teams.
Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and official correspondence as required.
Support all Administrator Modification Control functions and collaborate as part of a unified team supporting RSAF objectives.
Train and mentor RSAF personnel to strengthen local maintenance capability.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance Technician skill level.
10–15 years of aircraft maintenance experience (Boeing 707 strongly preferred).
Minimum 10 years of maintenance experience equivalent to RSAF AFSC 251 (7‑level).
Demonstrated experience leading personnel through overhauls, modifications, improvements, and aircraft mishap investigations.
Strong understanding of aviation theory, jet engine fundamentals, and aircraft systems.
At least 3 years of logistics experience.
Ability to review requirements and translate them into technical equipment specifications.
Knowledge of administrative policies, communication procedures, publications, forms management, and organizational structures.
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance operations, production oversight, logistics data collection, safety, and security practices.
Proficiency in aircraft maintenance and mobility operations procedures.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
