What We're Looking For

We're looking for a motivated self-starter who can work in a fast-paced environment to manage and build upon our existing partnerships. A key member of the Strategic Partnerships team, the AVP, Network Partnerships will manage our relationships with the card networks including Mastercard, Visa, select Debit networks as well as issuing processors. You will be a subject matter expert on network rules and responsibilities. You will serve as the connection point to the networks for our strategic relationship managers as well as our business development team as they grow our revenue. 

You will be asked to wear many hats and quickly learn our business, ecosystems, and clients. Your relationships (both internally and externally) and decision-making skills will be put to task; you will need to handle vague and nuanced situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and own CRB’s relationship with the Payments Networks including participation in new initiatives from the network (incubator programs, new product roll outs, pilots, etc.)
  • Communicate all Network requirements and changes to internal and external partners, providing business impacts and applicability
  • Oversight and communication of Network releases
  • Manage network costs, ensure accurate billing and pass through of fees
  • CRB’s resident expert on Networks, with a clear understanding of day-to-day Network operations, files shared, business objectives they serve, fee structure and so on
  • Provide education and training on Network requirements including ISOs, PFs and program managers
  • Manage onboarding and the Due Diligence process of new prospective Third Parties
  • Perform periodic visits to deepen relationships and engage in strategic planning

Qualifications:

  • Deep experience/exposure to the payments industry inclusive of pricing, network schemes, technologies, leading global players, emerging trends, and regulatory nuance
  • A broad understanding of the fintech space and how Cross River can leverage the best-in-class solutions to grow its financial solutions offering
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Merchant Acquiring and Card Issuing, preferably at a Network, Bank or Processor
  • Knowledge of BIN Sponsorship and Banking as a Service programs a plus
  • Possess sound judgment and flexibility in changing course and solving problems swiftly as you will join a fast-growing team where a lot of processes are not set in stone
  • Creative, out-of-the-box thinker who has a deep understanding of merchant acquiring and card issuing and is ready to challenge the status quo in the industry
  • Experience with Visa Direct and MasterCard Send is a plus
  • Agility and adaptability in a rapidly growing, constantly changing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Extreme resourcefulness and excellent communication skills
  • A learner’s mindset and the ability to pick up new information quickly

Salary Range: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00
