Purpose:
Accountabilities:
- Tax analysis of all Athene investments
- Assist in legal analysis, tax planning and modeling with respect to all aspects of the Company’s tax profile, including tax reform impacts, effective tax rate calculations and allocation of expenses
- Provide assistance to Athene’s tax compliance and reporting teams to ensure proper financial accounting treatment of all investments, and ensure proper tax reporting and compliance with respect to investments
- Work with senior members of the Athene tax department to identify, analyze, and devise action plans with respect to corporate and partnership tax issues arising from Athene’s investment activities.
- Assist in analyzing international tax issues, including tax treaty issues, Subpart F, PFIC, foreign tax credits, permanent establishment/U.S. trade or business, BEAT, transfer pricing, the OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting project (“BEPS”) Pillar Two, withholding tax, and UK and potentially other non-U.S. tax compliance/reporting
Qualifications and Experience:
- JD Required
- Strong Communication and organizational skills
- 8+ years of corporate taxation experience required; experience in analyzing tax implications of structured private equity investment transactions preferred. Reinsurance industry experience a plus but not required
$172,080.00 - $258,120.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
