Reporting to the SVP of Human Resources, the AVP of HR Operations will be a key driver of excellence in the employee journey at Global Atlantic. Your leadership will foster a seamless experience, threading technology and business processes to deliver excellence to our employees and candidates. Your core responsibilities will encompass HR Operations, project prioritization, change management, Immigration, I9 compliance, and office globalization, among other responsibilities. By spearheading these critical initiatives, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our people strategy and reinforcing Global Atlantic's commitment to providing a supportive and engaging workplace for all employees.

In 2024, this role will lead our Integr@teGA project. Partnering with the HR Technology Team (HRIS) and the Project Management Office, our HR team will implement a centralized system that will manage all aspects of GAFG’s human resources data and processes.   We have selected SAP’s Employee Central which will streamline HR processes, reduce administrative burden, and increase efficiency while providing transparency through manager and employee self-service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integr@teGA Lead: Act as the Human Resources leader for the Integr@te project and bring together all COEs and HRBPs while partnering with our implementation vendor, Enterprise Project Management (EPMO) and HRIS teams to ensure that the project is successful.
  • Employee Journey: You will champion the strategic direction of a seamless and enriching employee journey from the time a candidate is acquainted with our brand, through their exit.  You will help coordinate and connect various departments to ensure technology and process are aligned to deliver a cohesive and exceptional employee experience.
  • HR Operations: Deliver an optimized and best in class onboarding and offboarding process. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive onboarding programs that prioritize employee engagement, accelerate productivity, and ensure a seamless integration into the organization's culture. You will ensure a streamlined offboarding procedure that focuses on knowledge transfer and preserves positive relationships with departing talent.
  • Change Management: As we introduce new or updated processes and technology across Human Resources, this role will oversee a change management strategy to support it, driving adoption while minimizing business disruption.
  • Employer Branding: You will collaborate closely with the Marketing organization to execute comprehensive Talent Acquisition, Employer Brand, and Early Career brand strategies. Leveraging the power of social media and other channels, you will enhance the organization's employer brand to attract top talent.
  • Globalization: Lead HR activities as we move towards a global footprint and open offices in Asia and beyond while partnering with our legal, tax, benefits, payroll, and business experts.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: You and your team will have ownership of end-to-end process for immigration compliance, I9 verification, data storage related to employee records, and background checks for prospective employees and contractors. You will collaborate closely with legal and regulatory teams to stay up to date on changes in immigration laws and requirements. Your team will implement and maintain efficient data storage systems, ensuring confidentiality, security, and accessibility of employee records. 
  • Team Leadership and Development: As a strategic leader, you will lead, mentor, and develop a team of experienced professionals. By fostering a high-performing and engaged team, you will ensure the continuous improvement of HR processes, People Operations, policies, and procedures, enhancing the overall employee experience. Ability to document requirements and listening to understand is critical. 

Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in leadership roles, with a strong focus on operations.  A real go-getter with exceptional communication skills.
  • Track record of successful partnerships with a technology organization (a plus if it is HRIS) and ability to share experiences and outcomes during the interview process.
  • Amazing ability to work cross-functionally in matrixed environments, acting as a trusted partner and influential leader. Ability to listen to understand.
  • Specific experiences in a fast paced environment where you have had demonstrated the ability to improve processes and be creative in ways to improve outcomes
  • Proven success in leading change management initiatives and driving transformational growth within an organization.
  • Expertise in leading systems implementations and driving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency through technology.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong background in story telling and presentation skills (and ability to create visually and competent PowerPoint decks)
  • Visionary mindset with the ability to think long-term and anticipate future talent needs and challenges.
  • Exceptional leadership presence and the ability to inspire and motivate others towards a shared vision.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to align HR initiatives with broader organizational goals and strategic direction.
  • Not afraid to get your hands dirty. Our leaders roll up their sleeves and do work as well as lead it!
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, with a track record of managing risk in complex organizational environments as it relates to immigration, background checks, i9 processes and employee data storage is a plus.
  • SAP Systems experience / understanding is an added benefit, and not required.

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

The base salary range for this role is

$140,000$200,000 USD
