Dynamics of the Role
This is an exciting time in TransUnion CIBIL. With investments in our people, technology and new business markets, we are redefining the role and purpose of a credit bureau. You will be a part of our Data Science & Analytics team responsible for creating the predictive components of our next generation analytical products in TransUnion CIBIL. You will also be involved building custom predictive solutions for our key clients. You will be responsible to work transform insights into revenue generating solutions and actionable strategies. You are expected to work collaboratively with product / technology / operations teams to achieve these ambitions. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • Lead & mentor junior team members to produce high quality deliverables within demanding timelines.
  • Build generic predictive products which solve critical business issues of all the market players.
  • Build custom predictive solutions that solve critical business issues of clients. Build predictive solutions across the value chain of lending business – acquisition, underwriting, portfolio management, and collections.
  • Leverage 360 degree data sources in predictive solutions – credit data, banking data, and alternate data.
  • Build solutions to monitor the performance of predictive solutions.
  • Work with internal & external senior stakeholders on defining the project plan, scope, methodology, and expected business impact of the solutions.
  • Articulate and communicate results and recommendations along with technical documentation.
  • Contribute to team’s R&D efforts on innovative analytics methodologies, products and data sources.
  • Improve and implement best practices with respect to coding, model building and documentation.
  • Demonstrate self-driven initiatives to learn new techniques/technologies to stay ahead of the curve.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / analytics / mathematics / statistics / economics
  • Master’s degree in similar fields will be an advantage
  • 8+ years of modeling experience
  • Experience of leading data science projects & teams
  • Extensive experience with predictive modeling in the lending side of the banking industry. Experience with Indian banking will be an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in tools and technologies such as R, Python, Spark, Hive, and SQL. Exposure to the deployment process of predictive models will be an advantage.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, handle ambiguous situations and exercise judgement in variety of situations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, verbal & written skills.
  • High degree of responsibility and ownership, strong multitasking, coordination and tenaciously looking for ways to get results.
