Automation Specialist (f/m)
Location Poland, Wrocław.
About the Role
We are looking for an Automation Specialist . The position plays a key role in driving automation innovation by developing and deploying scalable control system standards, advancing digitalization initiatives, and enabling the transition towards more autonomous, connected, data-driven, and intelligent industrial operations.
In this role, you will support aggregates operations by delivering automation expertise, developing control system solutions, and providing technical support to improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.
You will work closely with site teams, automation specialists, integrators, and digital experts to deploy and optimize automation solutions across multiple operations.
Your Responsibilities
- Provide remote technical support for automation and control systems across aggregates sites.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize COPA-DATA zenon applications, PLC programs, and HMI/SCADA systems.
- Support commissioning, testing, troubleshooting, and stabilization of automation projects.
- Create and maintain automation standards, templates, and reusable control modules.
- Improve automation architecture, data quality, and IIoT connectivity to enable operational excellence.
- Collaborate with operational and technical teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous development of the Polish Automation Hub.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Control Systems, or a related technical field.
- Practical experience in industrial automation and process control.
Required Experience
- PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication networks and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical documentation and process diagrams.
- Experience supporting commissioning, testing, and change management activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with COPA-DATA zenon.
- Experience in aggregates, mining, quarrying, cement, or heavy industrial environments.
- Knowledge of IIoT solutions, OT/IT integration, and industrial cybersecurity.
- Experience in remote technical support and standardization projects.
