As an Authorization Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Data Entry: Ability to enter and manage data accurately and efficiently.
Customer Service and Communication: Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies, ensuring all information is accurate and complete to avoid errors in the authorization process.
Insurance Verification and Problem-Solving: Ability to verify insurance eligibility and benefits, including knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, and the ability to identify issues and apply good judgment to resolve them.
Prioritization and Execution: Prioritize and execute tasks based on customer and/or business urgency, ensuring timely and efficient processing.
Documentation and Billing: Review and research payer-specific requirements to determine required documentation and accurate billing and verify third-party payer to obtain authorization.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
AND
Minimum of (5) five years of experience in customer service, healthcare or insurance in a private, public, government or military environment
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
One year or more experience in Microsoft office applications
Ability to prioritize a worklist and work in production environment, excellent written and verbal skills .
Work location: Remote- United States
Travel: May include up to 5% [domestic/international]
Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
