Associate Vice President (equivalent to Manager), Financial Valuations Group work on a variety of assignments, including business enterprise valuations, purchase price allocations (PPAs), intellectual property valuations, stock option valuations, impairment testing, transaction valuations, financial instrument valuations, portfolio valuation for alternative asset industry and dispute consulting.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Client Interviewing - gathering data pertinent to the engagement
Project management and engagement economics.
Engagement Management and execution:
Researching target industry, market and competitor information
Model building and reviewing - DCF models, comparable company models, stock option models, financial instrument and complex option models and intangible asset valuation models
Report writing
Engagement Review
Team management
Operational relationship management with client
Essential Traits:
The ideal candidate will possess finance related educational qualifications such as: Chartered Accountant Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or MBA Finance
5-8 years of related work experience in India. Experience to cover the range of assignments listed earlier. A deep understanding of valuation concepts, accounting standards and other standards relevant for valuation will be necessary
Preference will be given to candidates who are good at financial modelling skills and able to use databases/software such as MS Office (especially excel and power point), Capital IQ and Bloomberg.
The person should be a self-starter and should be initiative oriented. He / she will also be actively involved in our research, surveys and thought leadership initiatives
