We’re looking for problem solvers, innovators, and dreamers who are searching for anything but business as usual. Like us, you’re a high performer who’s an expert at your craft, constantly challenging the status quo. You value inclusivity and want to join a culture that empowers you to show up as your authentic self. You know that success hinges on commitment, that our differences make us stronger, and that the finish line is always sweeter when the whole team crosses together.

As an Associate Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll join our global SRE team supporting the scalability, availability, and performance of Alteryx’s Cloud SaaS Platform. This team collaborates closely with product engineering, infrastructure, and platform teams to deploy, monitor, and improve the reliability of our services.

You’ll also get to work on forward-looking initiatives such as:

  • AI-assisted observability and incident response

  • Right-sizing infrastructure using modern autoscaling tools like VPA, HPA, Cluster-Autoscaler etc

  • Building a reliability framework that scales with Alteryx’s platform growth

This is a great opportunity to grow your SRE fundamentals while contributing to impactful, customer-facing systems.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deploy, manage, and monitor production-grade cloud services across GCP, AWS, and Azure

  • Partner with engineering teams to define and enforce SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets

  • Improve observability via logging, metrics, traces, and AI-powered insights (Datadog, OpenTelemetry)

  • Automate alert remediation and improve incident response with runbooks and tooling

  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and participate in on-call rotations

  • Write and maintain infrastructure code (Helm, Terraform, Python, etc.)

  • Support scalability efforts and performance testing across environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 1–2 years of experience operating or supporting cloud-native or distributed systems

  • Proficiency in a modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD workflows (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, etc.)

  • Exposure to observability tools like Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana

  • Ability to debug service issues using logs, metrics, and traces

  • Strong collaboration skills and a growth mindset

Nice-to-Have:

  • Exposure to AI/ML Ops, LLM-based debugging tools, or incident summarisation tools

  • Knowledge of performance benchmarking or load testing practices

  • Understanding of networking and container runtime internals

  • Familiarity with multi-cloud environments

Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply? At Alteryx, we support a growth mindset for our associates through all stages of their careers. If you meet some of the requirements and you share our values, we encourage you to apply. As part of our ongoing commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace, we’re invested in building teams with a wide variety of backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
