The Role

Title: Associate, Practice Support Services     

Location: Gurgaon, India

Job Description

Reporting to a U.S.-based Manager (East Coast), with mentoring from peers, provide expense report processing and Research project administrative support for Research & Advisory experts across the globe. The applicant is expected to be responsive, proactive, organized, and able to work well both independently and collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment.  Must have strong written and verbal communications skills.  Typical working hours will be 11 AM to 8 PM Monday through Friday. 

What you’ll do:

  • Expense Report Processing: Accurately and routinely process expense reports for approximately 100 employees using Gartner’s Concur expense system, ensuring compliance with Gartner’s expense policies and procedures. Follow up in a timely, professional manner with experts for receipts and clarification on items. Collaborate with Gartner’s Travel & Expense team to resolve questions and issues related to expense processing. 
  • Client Outreach Support: Working closely with a team of approximately 10 to 12 Researchers and Gartner’s Research Engagement Services (RES) team, coordinate research calls between Gartner clients and Gartner Researchers. Using strong Excel skills, assist Researchers with the selection of interview lists. On a daily basis, interact with the Gurgaon-based RES team to ensure that calls are being scheduled appropriately.  Research and summarize client information using Gartner’s client management systems, LinkedIn, and other sources. Periodically contact clients directly via email to coordinate or modify research interviews. May be asked to generate status reports on a frequent basis and may be asked to assist with ad hoc projects occasionally. 
  • Administrative Support: Responsibilities may include making travel reservations and processing visa applications on an occasional basis, ordering equipment & supplies for home offices, assisting with on-boarding new Researchers, and other administrative requests as needed.   

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. 
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in an administrative or customer support role.
  • Strong, clear written and verbal English skills are required. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel V Lookup function and organizing large amounts of data, is necessary. 
  • Strong organizational skills.  Good math skills will be important. 
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Sheets, & Google Docs) will be useful.
  • Must be flexible, cordial, poised, efficient, and work well under pressure with a wide variety of personalities.
