Product Manager - Technical II
Overview
The Product Data & Analytics team builds internal analytic partnerships, strengthening focus on the health of the business, portfolio and revenue optimization opportunities, initiative tracking, new product development and Go-To Market strategies. We are a hands-on global team providing scalable end-to-end data solutions. Working closely with the business, we influence decisions across Mastercard through data driven insights. We are a team on analytics engineers, data architects, BI developers, data analysts and data scientists, and fully manage our own data assets and solutions.
• The individual will facilitate business/technical requirements gathering, story writing, and story elaboration for our strategic initiatives.• The individual will owns and manage product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams, functional teams and business stakeholders• Are you motivated to become a key contributor of securing Mastercard's data assets?• Do you like working on complex problems and to collaboratively design impactful solutions?• Are you extremely organized, detailed oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively?• Are you self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success within a team environment?
Role and responsibilities
• Elicits and decomposes business requirements into platform requirements and user stories• Owns and manages product documentation ensuring features and associated documentation are clear and easily consumable by other engineering teams, functional teams and business stakeholders.• Enables self-service support and/or works to reduce overhead• Continuously monitors feature development at the feature level adjusting throughout implementation as needed• Supports and participates in post-launch reviews and ensures feedback is reincorporated into the feature• Identifies issues that will keep the platform features from delivering on time and/or with the desired requirements and works with internal teams and customer service to identify, classify, and prioritize feature-level customer issues• Assists with team and customer onboarding
All about you• 4+ years' experience in data management, analytics initiatives or data product development.• Financial Institution or a Payments experience a plus.• Proactive self-starter seeking initiatives to advance.• Ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge
• Experience working on Confluence, Jira, ALM or similar tools• Experience identifying, breaking down, and elaborating features/epics and user stories• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey messages at different levels - detailed and high-level management• Ability to effectively drive resolution of issues and roadblocks • Highly motivated and proactive to ensure the success of the team and product• High degree of ownership• Strong attention to detail and quality.• Must be able to interact with management, internal stakeholders and collect requirements.• Must be able to perform in a team, use judgment and operate under ambiguity.
