This Position reports to:
Engineering ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization (division and market) and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your expertise by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Business of Measurement and Analytics Division for Bangalore.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to the product development in Business Line Instrumentation, from early concept phase to design, validation and release to the manufacturing units.
- Working in R&D multidisciplinary project teams for design and development of embedded software for Instrumentation devices, and you will be responsible for functionality, performance, cost and quality of the deliveries.
- Coordinating with hardware engineer and PC software & certification engineers for system debugging, designing and testing & documentation
- Working with technical experts and product managers in analyzing and implementing functional requirements considering scalability, ex-tensibility, complexity of the software to solve complex problems.
- Collaborating actively with technical experts from other areas across functions, and contributes in relevant forums both internal and external.
- Documenting your work results, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues in applying it, to ensure timely and high-quality results, as well as proposing and implementing actions to solve quality problems in R&D projects.
- Understanding and implementing the product quality and functional requirements and early applying the necessary assurance practices in the design process.
- Leveraging in-depth knowledge in own technical areas, to ensure that technology results are properly safeguarded through effective IP management.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree or above Computer Engineering, Electrical /Electronic Engineering from a reputed University.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant work experience in embedded device software development preferably in electronic measurement instruments.
- Sound knowledge and hands-on experience in C/C++ language, familiar with DSP or ARM platforms and familiar with hardware driver development skills.
- Proficient in embedded OS (ucOS/RTOS/FreeRTOS/eCos/VxWorks/Linux) development and solid knowledge in IDE, IAR/CCS/Keil
- Strong interest in physics and sensing technologies. Domain knowledge in one of the following areas: process automation (preferred), industrial appli-cations, automotive, medical.
- Hands-on experience in with development tools like GIT, Azure DevOps, IDE, JIRA is a plus.
- Knowledge of fieldbus and industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Ethernet TCP/IP etc. (HART, Profibus, Profinet, industrial Ethernet carries added advantage.
