Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your knowledge by applying basic design thinking/design best practices concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Automation – Energy Division in Bangalore- India Region. Main stakeholders include Project Lead Engineers, DCS/Automation Engineering Teams, Customers & End Users, Commissioning & Site Operations Teams, and Pharma/Chemical Plant Stakeholders.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Support the development, engineering, configuration, and implementation of DCS projects, working closely with lead engineers to deliver solutions that meet project requirements, quality standards, and customer expectations.

  • Develop, configure, customize, and test DCS applications, including system validation, loop checks, functional testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure reliable and efficient system performance.

  • Perform site surveys, standard engineering calculations, data analysis, and basic design activities, while preparing project documentation, technical reports, and as-built deliverables within the assigned scope.

  • Assist in the installation, integration, commissioning, and startup of DCS systems at customer sites, collaborating with project teams, contractors, and customers to resolve technical issues and support effective project execution and handover.

  • Participate in customer meetings, technical discussions, engineering workshops, and project review sessions, contributing to effective communication, continuous improvement initiatives, and the timely delivery of project milestones.

Qualifications for the role:

  • You have a Diploma or Degree in engineering, electrical, Electronics, EEC, Instrumentation or chemical engineering.

  • You have 2 to 5 years of experience in industrial automation DCS commissioning in process automation industry.

  • You enjoy working with industrial automation in the pharma and chemicals market.

  • You possess enhanced knowledge of 800xA.

  • You are comfortable communicating verbally and in writing in English.
