Job Description
We’re growing and our clients deserve the best. As an Operational Support Specialist, this role will review of documentation for accuracy & process required paperwork for new business. This may include audit of policy packages, new business applications, assigning work items to policies, client letter assignment, and various other supplemental processes. In this role, as well as all roles within MassMutual, you will demonstrate accountability, agility, a dedication to be inclusive, a strong business acumen, and will show courage, even in the most difficult situations. We also highly value strong communication skills, a passion for learning, leadership traits, resilience, and self-awareness.
Daily and monthly responsibilities - What your days and weeks will include.
- Audit policy documentation of new business submissions for accuracy and completeness.
- Assign work items in queue matching to the appropriate work basket
- Process client data into back-office systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Send standard letters based on certain state guidelines
- Research and resolve operational issues as needed.
- Identify and resolve problems using Root Cause Problem Solving tools.
- Work effectively to meet/exceed productivity and quality standards.
Required skills and qualifications - The qualifications that are needed for this role:
- Strong organization and analytical skills
- Excellent data entry skills
- 3-5 years Insurance services industry knowledge or experience in similar process support
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to strict deadlines
- Ability to work overtime and/or work a flexible shift arrangement as business needs arise.
Preferred qualifications - Additional skills/requirements that make you a great fit
- 5+ years Insurance services industry with strong Knowledge and understanding of the same
- College degree preferred or equivalent business experience
