A Day in Your Life at MKS:
The Assoc. Mgr./ Mgr., Strategic Projects will support and lead high-impact initiatives that transform and optimize MSD global operations and supply chain. This role is responsible for driving strategic programs that enhance efficiency, resilience, and sustainability across planning, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and distribution. This person will partner with regional and global leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure programs are executed on time/on cost and deliver targeted financial savings. The role will also involve data analytics and require exploring digital supply chain tools. In this role, you will report to the Director, Strategic projects
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Program Management & Analytics
- Oversee planning, execution, and governance of strategic projects across procurement, supply chain and manufacturing operations (including global network optimization)
- Identify new opportunities in cost reduction, process improvement through data analytics and LEAN
- Establish KPIs and track performance to ensure project success.
- Innovation & Transformation
- Identify opportunities for digitalization, automation, and advanced analytics in supply chain processes.
- Drive adoption of emerging technologies and best practices.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with senior executives and external partners to align strategies and deliver results.
- Communicate project outcomes and recommendations to leadership.
- Risk & Compliance
- Assess supply chain & operational risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with global trade regulations and sustainability standards
Travel Requirements: Given the global nature of this role, international travel may be required based on project needs
Skills You bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- Experience:5+ years in supply chain management, consulting, or operations
- Skills:
- Proven track record of managing large supply chain/procurement projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, modelling and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in supply chain technologies (ERP, TMS, WMS, AI tools, advanced analytics)
- Experience with LEAN/ Six Sigma
- Leadership: Ability to inspire, influence, and drive change across diverse teams
