Associate Manager, HR Operations 

Introduction to team

Our Corporate Functions are made up of teams that support Expedia Group, including Employee Communications, Finance, Legal, People Team, Inclusion and Diversity, and Global Social Impact and Sustainability. 

In this role, you will be a part of the Global HR Operations organization that is responsible for providing simple, scalable, and efficient core HR services to all Expedia employees worldwide.

The Associate Manager , HR operations is responsible for building and managing high performing HR operations team directly responsible for the SLAs and company goals for the Global Hub HR Ops Specialist Teams.

You will actively engage with the team to develop performance measurement systems, maintain the team’s productivity and manage the team from people connect standpoint. You will also collaborate with other teams within the organization to ensure HR operations tasks are accomplished ensuring an excellent experience for Expedia employees.

Additionally, the HR Ops Supervisor will be an active member of the Global Hub Operations team and participate in team projects and HR activities for the overall region. The role is quite varied and this individual will be expected to have excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

In this role, you will:

HR Operations Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the HR department, including employee lifecycle processes such as onboarding, offboarding, employee records management, and HRIS maintenance.

  • Leading Workday projects and timely execution

  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and comply with legal requirements.

  • Develop and implement HR operational strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency and service delivery.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.

  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, share best practices, and address any issues or concerns.

  • Managing Employee engagement and HR issues of the staff

  • Induction for new employees, Training & Development

  • Employees Career Progression, Competency based Assessments

  • Employee Motivation & Grievance Management

  • Rewards & Recognition, Celebrations

  • Building a high performance culture

  • Manpower Planning & Optimisation

Stake Holder Management

  • Collaborate with CoE to understand the process level delivery and helping team understand the core ask in simplified manner

  • Identify and establish strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including department heads, employees, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

  • Communicate HR policies, initiatives, and updates effectively to stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Act as a liaison between HR and other departments, facilitating collaboration and ensuring HR strategies support business objectives.

  • Gather feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve HR services and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Performance Management:

  • Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development planning.

  • Provide training and support to team members on how to achieve high performance

Experience and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Masters degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 6-8 years of HR/Operations experience, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role

  • Must have executed 2-3 years of annual appraisal discussion.

  • Workday and Service Now tool experience is Must.

  • Driving site level engagement activities to bolster team morale

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
