Base Hourly Compensation: $26

 

SHIFT: Must be willing to work either day shift; 12 hours per day 2/2/3 Schedule.

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION:  
The Document Control Specialist position is responsible for quality and production documentation review, product release, and ensuring all customer/ regulatory documentation requirements are communicated to the Quality Department and sent to the customer as required

LOCATION:The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Maintain and review data and documentation in DrinkPAK’s Quality Doc Management systems. 

  • Maintain and review data and documentation for both in-process and finished goods. Provide documentation to customers and DrinkPAK departments. 

  • Work with groups within the organization to obtain up-to-date and accurate documentation supporting ongoing projects. Daily activities could support the new product introduction process, technical customer response, and other documentation. 

  • Work within established processes and procedures to improve the flow of information within DrinkPAK and externally with customers. Assist with the development of these procedures and processes.  

  • Work with Quality leadership team on new product approval and customer requirements 

  • Work independently with various departments, including but not limited to Logistics, Quality, and Operations 

  • Always ensure the accuracy of data and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 

  • At least 2 years’ experience working in a Document Control related role is required. 

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the food industry required. 

  • At least 4 years’ experience with customers, suppliers, and departments within a related role 

  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred. 

  • Excellent communication skills and a team player with all levels of the organization 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 

  • Detail oriented

WORKING CONDITIONS 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

  • Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations. 

  • The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms above the head and below the waist. 

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. 

  • The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for 10-12 hours. 

  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs 

 

Skills Required

  • At least 2 years of experience in a Document Control-related role
  • At least 2 years of experience in the food industry
  • At least 4 years of experience working with customers, suppliers, and departments in a related role
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
