Job Description

PRIMARY JOB OBJECTIVES

  • To achieve targets in revenue per client (by type of products), number of clients, number of prospects converted, while maintaining adequate return and good credit quality of portfolio:
  • solicit new local F&A relationships
  • maintain & grow existing F&A customers with a focus to enhance individual account’s net RAROC by cross-selling the bank’s products and services;
  • provide clients with innovative ideas, solutions and structures through collaboration with different departments and understanding clients’ changing requests;
  • closely monitor clients’ development and keep abreast of market intelligence to acquaint the bank with early warning signals to avoid unexpected credit issues or market downturn;
  • In line with the requirements of regulators and Rabobank, it is the responsibility of commercial staff to educate and inform the client to comply with these requirements to conduct account opening and annual reviews.

MAIN JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To assist Client Coverage (Senior) to build up new clients business and to take ownership of existing clients.
  • Relationship management and origination for all defined clients, from a total product perspective
  • Execute Account Plan and initiate and/or realize cross-selling of wholesale products and services
  • Prepare, in conjunction with sector teams, product and idea pitches
  • Develop and execute exit strategy for non-core clients
  • Negotiate all product documentation (especially financing transactions) and adequately conclude transactions
  • Prepare (in co-operation with credit dept) of credit reports and financial analysis
  • Manage internal credit process and responsibility for follow-up/monitoring/reviews/waivers& amendments
  • Operational execution support

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED

Education / Professional Qualifications :

University Degree or equivalent required; Master degree preferred

Relevant Experience required:

At least 5 years working experience in corporate banking team with responsibility of developing new relationships and growing existing business;

  • Deep familiarity with credit risk process – writing, discussing
  • Proven track record in credit and loans structuring & execution
  • Good knowledge of products – corporate banking, corporate finance, structured finance, financial market and trade/structured trade products.
  • Good knowledge of account planning and wallet sizing.

Other skills required

  • Good communication skills (persuasive, influential) to maintain relationship with stakeholders
  • Affinity with the Food & Agribusiness industry would be an advantage
  • Possess the skill to liaise and coordinate across borders and functions
  • Sound analytical skills
  • Open and pro-active approach
  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Languages: English and Chinese
  • Domestic and overseas travel required
